VANCOUVER, July, 2019 – On behalf of Proof of Care’s Board of Directors, it gives me great pleasure to announce the appointment of Samuel Knox Grant as the new CEO of Proof of Care – Home Health Care (PROOF OF CARE) effective July 1st, 2019.
Sam is a familiar member of the Proof of Care family, having joined the organization in 2016 as General Manager. Proof of Care has great confidence in Sam’s ability to steer Proof of Care forward during this unique time, and that his expertise, drive and compassionate approach will position PROOF OF CARE well to build on its strong tradition of providing the highest quality care to seniors in the Greater Vancouver Region.
“It is my honour and privilege to assume the role of CEO at Proof of Care,” said Samuel Grant. “I have the great fortune to already know what a spectacular team Proof of Care has and to also know the importance and tremendous value of our meaningful collaboration with so many partners across the sector. I am excited about the opportunities ahead to advance our goals to make care better for the clients and families we are proud to serve, to ensure our team has the support they need and to champion care at home.”
Throughout his career, Samuel has demonstrated his commitment to workplace excellence and building mutually beneficial partnerships; his focus on supporting and inspiring teams; and his effective advancement of research, innovation, best practice and service excellence. To mention just a few examples: Sam has designed strategies with caregivers and families to help improve home safety for clients living with dementia, has worked collaboratively with Long Term Care Facility partners to drive system transformation through rigorous recruitment, organizational control & developing best practices, and is leading new community organizations that foster & support the health and wellness of Seniors.
Over this past 3 years, Sam has led Proof of Care’s organization-wide systems and processes transformation. He has collaborated with partners to drive knowledge-sharing and best practice as home care lead & Co-Chairperson at Vancouver Senior Services Experts (V.S.S.E).
The dedication, generosity, ingenuity and compassion that have been the hallmarks of Proof of Care’s home support under Sam’s leadership. Sam has accelerated different models of care, focused on research initiatives and found innovative ways to support our most vulnerable populations. “With a continued focus on creative approaches to supporting our teams and making care better for the clients and families, I am proud to drive for systemic transformation of our company and our industry. I look forward to continuing to guide our work to accomplish the key components of our Strategic Plan.
